LISBON Classmates and friends from the Lisbon area from 50 years ago and earlier will gather again this year for the annual Golden Reunion, to be held on Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston.

Registration will start at 11 a.m. with gathering and greeting, followed by a buffet dinner at noon. Recognition of classes and musical entertainment will conclude the program, directed by Merton Robinson of the class of 1951.

In its 21st year, the Golden Reunion includes members of every class from 1936 to 1960 of both the former Lisbon Falls High School and Lisbon High School. The Golden Reunion has grown over the years, and now nearly 200 class members from 50 years or more ago, along with husbands and wives, gather for the annual event.

The group now sponsors book scholarships for two students from Lisbon High School who are in their second year of college. Scholarship chair Judith Kamin will announce the scholarship grant recipients. To raise scholarship funds, there will be several prize drawings at the reunion.

Members of the Class of 1960 or of any class before that are invited to attend the Golden Reunion. For reservations, call Donna Kroken at 353-8989, e-mail dlkroken@netzero.net or write to Golden Reunion, Donna Kroken, 105 Bowdoinham Road, Lisbon Falls, ME 04252.

Reservations must be made by Sept. 6.
