WILTON — Joyce I. St. Laurent, 59, died unexpectedly of natural causes at her home on Village View.

She was born Oct. 23, 1950, in Farmington, the daughter of Ismural Daniel and Josephine (Seavey) Spencer. Joyce married Norman St. Laurent, they divorced in 1973. She attended school at Livermore Falls High School and later received her G.E.D. She continued educating herself through adult education and received her CNA through Sandy River Nursing Home.

She worked in the local nursing homes, waitressed at Irvings in Farmington, and was a volunteer driver for Community Concepts. Joyce was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Farmington.

She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Frank L. Mitchell VFW Post 3335 since 1992. She had served as chaplin and was currently the chairwoman for the Veterans and Family Support. Joyce loved cooking pies and cookies and was especially known for the cakes that she made for fundraisers for the schools, soccer teams, V.F.W. functions or others that were having bake sales. Joyce was an avid supporter and fundraiser for the John Murphy Homes.

She also enjoyed karaoke, house sitting animals and her cat “Boss Cat India.” She was very involved with her community and family and will surely be missed by those that knew her.

She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Karen and Kevin Reed of Farmington; her son and his wife, Kevin and Julie St. Laurent of Waterboro; sisters, Brenda Houghton and her companion, Bob Lagasse, of Lewiston, Norma Jackman and her husband, Kevin, of Livermore, Janice Moore and her husband, Butch, of Turner, Josephine Ridlon of Jay and Noreen Coolidge of Dixfield; brothers, Dale Spencer and his wife, Donna, of Buckfield, Dennis Spencer and his wife, Judy, of Turner, Norman Mitchell and his wife, Terry, of Dixfield and Kenneth Wills of Mechanic Falls; her stepfather, Roland Wills of Farmington; grandchildren, Christopher and his son, Avery James, Troy, Emily and Mika Reed, and Sarah and Joey St. Laurent; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her infant sister, Rhonda Jean Mitchell; and her brother, Charles Mitchell.
