LEWISTON — YWCA board members will hold a press conference Monday to announce a possible savior for the 130-year-old facility.

The YWCA of Central Maine announced this week that financial problems are forcing it to close.

That plan could now change.

“Something is in the works in the hopes that it might save the Y,” board member Tonie Ramsey said Saturday.

A press conference has been scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the YWCA.
