AUBURN — Members of the Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet Wednesday, Aug. 25, at the American Legion, for their regular meeting. Following the meeting and a bag lunch bingo will be played.

Forty-nine members were present when the group met Aug. 11 under the direction of the president, Merry Strout. Helen Stelmok was welcomed back after being out ill. As the meeting opened a moment of silence, led by Chaplain Pat Donohue, was held in memory of two honorary members, Ruth Diehl, 98, who passed away Aug. 9 and Bea Everett, 95, who passed away Aug. 8. It was reported that member Ralph Lashua has recently undergone knee surgery and is now a patient at d’Youville Pavilion for further treatment and care. It was reported that he is doing quite well.

Evelyn Sawin, trip chairwomen, announced that she has a foliage trip scheduled for Oct. 8 to Rangeley Lake, where dinner will be served at Loon Lodge with a choice of chicken, fish or beef. The price, $60, includes transportation, dinner and bingo on the bus. Reservations may be made with Sawin at Robin Dow meetings or phone her at 998-4577. One does not have to be a member of Robin Dow to attend.

Attendance prize winners were Patti Guptill and Felix Yurkston; pot of gold, Edwina Bonney, Caroline Chapman and Flo Webber; mystery prize, Robert Berry and Betty Hebert. Those celebrating birthdays in August were acknowledged and the “Happy Birthday” song was sung. At the close of the meeting and following lunch, bingo was played.
