ALBANY TOWNSHIP — The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the destruction of two camps and their associated outbuildings over the weekend.

The fires were reported at 9:20 p.m. Saturday, according to the Oxford County Regional Communications Center in Paris. Chief Adrien Morin of the Waterford Fire Department said two camps, two sheds, and a sauna on Patte Brook Road were fully engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived.

Morin said he knew the owners of the camps, but was not releasing the information. No one was in any of the buildings at the time of the fire. The camps did not have electrical power.

Firefighters from Waterford and Bethel responded to the blaze and had finished putting out the flames by midnight. No one was injured.

A representative from the Fire Marshal’s Office was unavailable Monday afternoon.
