LEWISTON — Paving work on Webster Street will close the road to traffic for several hours Thursday between Farwell and Webber Avenue.
City crews will be paving Webster Street between East Avenue and Webber all day Thursday, according to Wes Enman, Lewiston engineer.
Outbound traffic will be detoured up Farwell to Dupuis and to Webber. Eastbound traffic on Webster Street will be allowed to continue into town, but it will be down to a single lane.
Enman said crews will close the entire road for two hours at some point during the day after crews put down the final coat of pavement and let it cool.
Enman recommended drivers avoid Webster Street and find an alternate route Thursday.
