MECHANIC FALLS — Members of the Mechanic Falls High School Class of 1960 held their 50th class reunion on Aug. 1 at the home of Paul and Lucille Hodsdon in Norway.
The graduating class of 33 has lost one member, and 18 classmates attended the reunion, traveling from California, Virginia, North Dakota, New York and Maine. The class was also honored to have two of their former teachers in attendance, Arthur Gouin of Norway and Nancy Meldrum from Gray.
The president, Fern Bosse, cooked a garbage can turkey and after the meal, classmates enjoyed an afternoon of catching up. Lucille Hodsdon presented Gouin with a picture she had taken of him and his wife five years ago; she passed away three years ago. He was very appreciative and said he did not have a picture of him and his wife together.
