FARMINGTON — “Pandemonium,” an exhibit of new works by department of sound, performance and visual inquiry faculty, will open Thursday, Sept. 2, at the University of Maine at Farmington.

Featured at the UMF Art Gallery will be works ranging from video projection and kinetic sculpture to painting and installation.

Showing artwork will be Gustavo Aguilar, Krisanne Baker, J. Thomas R. Higgins, Anthony Holmquist, Christopher Lavery, Dawn Nye, Elizabeth Olbert, Katrazyna Randall, Dona Seegers and Barbara Sullivan.

An opening reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 2, featuring a performance by Aguilar at 5:30 p.m.

The exhibit, free and open to the public, will be up through Sept. 26.

Thursday, Sept. 9, 5 p.m.: Higgins and Olbert

Wednesday, Sept. 15, 11:45 a.m.: Nye and Randall

Thursday, Sept. 23, 5 p.m.: Lavery and Sullivan
