BETHEL — Western Mountains Senior College will hold its annual meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at the Bethel Congregational Church. Nonmembers who wish to join are invited to attend.

Following the brief business meeting, the group will adjourn to the grounds outside in back of the church for a social activity which will include a barbecue, campfire and sing-along with some interesting “folk tales.”

Membership renewals and class registrations will be taken upon arrival, although members are urged to renew and register for courses in advance. Anyone who renews their membership or joins before Sept. 1 will have their name entered in a drawing for a gift certificate.

Election of new board members will take place during the business meeting. Those nominated to serve three-year terms include the following: Bonnie Marien, Peru; Norman Milliard, Greenwood; and Mary Haberman, Bethel. Current board members elected to serve their second three-year terms include Marcia Foster-Austin, Dan Johnson and Marvin Ouwinga, all of Bethel.

Those planning to attend the meeting are asked to RSVP by Monday, Sept. 3, to Eileen Meisner at the Adult Education Office, 824-2780 or e-mail meisnem@sad44.org.
