NORWAY — Frost Farm Gallery will hold a First Friday reception on Friday, Sept. 3, for the “Life, Death, Color & Light” exhibit featuring photography by Katie Selva.
Selva began taking photographs on a series of cross-country drives between 2000 and 2004. As a self-taught photographer, she is drawn to diverse subjects, yet focuses on simplicity, loneliness, nature and architecture.
In 2004, she started her own business, KatieSelvaPhotography.com, which focuses on wedding and culinary photography. Selva’s work has appeared in New York Magazine Online and Food & Wine and Saveur, as well as many Portland-based publications.
The free reception will run from 5 to 8 p.m. in the gallery at David W. Frost farm, 272 Pikes Hill. “Life, Death, Color & Light” will be up through Sept. 25.
