RAYMOND — Two teenagers were arrested Friday and charged with stealing a vehicle from a Hawthorne Road residence.

According to a press release from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, the 15- and 16-year-old boys will be charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, burglary to a motor vehicle, and theft. The boy driving the vehicle will also be charged with operating without a license. Both boys were booked at the Cumberland County Jail before being turned over to their parents with conditions of release.

Sgt. Al Winslow responded to a Hawthorne Road residence at about 5:30 a.m. to investigate the theft of a 2006 Toyota Camry. Winslow later came across the Camry on Spiller Hill Road, about 10 miles from the residence, and pulled it over.

Both boys fled the scene, but were found in the nearby woods soon after when Winslow pursued them with his police dog, Jag.
