Between 7 a.m. Friday Aug. 20, and 7 a.m. Friday Aug. 27, Lewiston police responded to 640 calls for service. Of those

calls, 125 were motor vehicle stops.

Criminal Mischief

Shane Haskell, 20, Billie Coburn, 19, and Jesse Macia, 18, were all charged with aggravated criminal mischief, and desecration and defacement on Aug. 23 after several leads indicated they were responsible for graveyard vandalism at Riverside Cemetery.

A vehicle parked at 84 College St. had all four tires slashed overnight Aug. 21 – Aug. 22.

A vehicle parked at 79 Ridgewood Ave. had tires slashed overnight Aug. 25 – Aug. 26.

A vehicle parked at 211 Randall Road was smeared with feces overnight Aug. 20 – Aug. 21.

The iron gates in the rear of the Holy Family Church at 607 Sabattus St. were damaged overnight Aug. 19 – Aug. 20 by a four-wheel-drive vehicle that appears to have pushed it over.

A vehicle received flat tires after it drove over a board with sticks in it that had been intentionally left behind the rear tires overnight Aug. 19 – Aug. 20.

A door to an apartment at 25 Pine St. was damaged between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Aug. 21. The suspect scratched the word “slut” into the door.

The rear of Traction Heavy Duty Truck Parts at 380 Lincoln St. was tagged with graffiti sometime prior to 10 a.m. on Aug. 20. “Flip” and “Epic” were painted.

Burglaries

A residence at 8 Revere St. was burglarized prior to 9:40 p.m. on Aug. 25. There were no signs of forced entry. An iPod and jewelry were taken from inside.

The Witch and Skeptic at 82 Howard St. was burglarized on Aug. 23 at 2 a.m. The suspects were two young white males, one of which was wearing a black hoodie and the other was wearing a light colored T-shirt and jeans and had spiked hair. Entry was gained by forcing a window; $15 in cash was taken from a cash box.

Thefts

Money was stolen from a cash box at the Bates College dining hall sometime prior to 11 p.m. on Aug. 25.

An orange and black Mongoose mountain bike was stolen from 12 Sandy St. between 9 a.m. and noon on Aug. 20.

A license plate was stolen from a trailer parked at 65 Foch St. overnight Aug. 20 – Aug. 21.

A purse was stolen from a patron of the Flagship Cinemas at 855 Lisbon St. on Aug. 20 prior to midnight.

A bicycle was stolen from outside of Olympia Sports at 20 East Ave. on Aug. 24 prior to 7:40 p.m.

Operating Under the Influence

Deborah Rowe-Akerly, 59, was charged with operating under the influence and operating without a license on Aug. 22 at 4 p.m. at 407 East Ave.

Dustin Owens, 27, was charged with operating under the influence on Aug. 23 at 12:30 a.m. at the corner of Sabattus Street and Stoneledge Drive.

Almon Mitchell, 45, was charged with operating under the influence and operating without a license on Aug. 26 at 8:51 p.m. at 248 Main St.

Rodney Poulin, 38, was charged with operating under the influence and operating without a license on Aug. 27 at 1:15 a.m. at the corner of Sabattus Street and Pond Road.

Operating After Suspension Arrest

Nicholas Breau, 30, was charged with operating while license suspended and failure to give correct name on Aug. 22 at 3:19 a.m. at 211 Lisbon St.

Abdi Maalim, 23, was charged with operating while license suspended on Aug. 24 at 11:36 p.m. at the corner of Knox and Spruce Streets.

Wanted

Walter Warner, 47, is wanted on a warrant charging unpaid fines for operating under the influence.

Linwood Edwards, 18, is wanted on a warrant charging failure to appear for false public alarm.

Timothy Weeks, 39, is wanted on a warrant charging unpaid fines for domestic assault.
