RANGELEY — Funeral services for Robert Charles Griscom Jr., were held Saturday, Aug. 28, from the Rangeley Free Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with the  Rev. Scott Wilson officiating. Barbara Dailey was the organist. The Rev. Scott led the opening prayer and scripture reading. The congregation sang “The Old Rugged Cross” followed by memories of Bob led by the Rev. Scott and followed by word from Bob’s grandson, Ethan. The Rev. Scott led a scripture meditation followed by the congregation singing “In The Garden” and “Let the Lower Lights be Burning.”  The Rev. Scott held a closing prayer followed by the pallbearers, Brian Griscom (son), Ethan Shaffer (grandson), Gary Shaffer (son-in-law), Scott Gesualdi (grandson-in-law), Lewis Haley (friend), and Gary Leiper (friend), escorting Bob’s casket from the church followed by Bob’s family. Rangeley Police Chief Dennis Leahy led the funeral procession to Evergreen Cemetery where the Rev. Scott offered words of committal followed by a Masonic memorial service conducted by members of Kemankeag Masonic Lodge of Rangeley. Following services, a reception was held at the undercroft of the Rangeley Free Baptist Church. Funeral services were cared for and provided by the Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington.
