EUSTIS — Yvonne Cote, 68, of Glidden Road, died unexpectedly Thursday evening at her home.

She was born in Portland, July 20, 1942, a daughter of Robert and Vivian (Tash) Pomerleau and received her education in parochial schools. On Aug. 23, 1960, she married Donald O. Cote Sr., in Scarborough. He died on Dec. 2, 2009.

Mrs. Cote earned her CNA certificate and worked as a local caregiver in the Eustis/Stratton area for many years as well as caring for her husband during his final illness. She also was a volunteer driver and she enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Donald O. Cote Jr. and his wife, Denise, of Stratton, Tina Ryan and her husband, Marshall, of Stratton, Yvonne “Babes” Cote and her partner, Paula Crandall, of Strong, Gregory Cote and his wife, Debra, of New Gloucester, Kelly Cote and her fiance, Chris Bard, of Farmington, and Kevin Cote and his wife, Sam, of Eustis; two sisters, Louise and Colleen of Connecticut; 22 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband; a daughter, Kimberly Ann; a son, Robert; three grandsons, Derrick, Nicholas and Ricky Lee.
