Red Hatters

LISBON FALLS — The Scarlet O’Hatters Red Hatters, with members from Lisbon Falls and surrounding towns, will take a bus tour to Bar Harbor on Monday, Sept. 27. There are extra seats on the bus and one does not have to be a Red Hatter to come. Bus fare is $48 and lunch, at own cost, will be at a restaurant in Ellsworth.

After lunch, the bus will travel to Bar Harbor for a stop to visit local shops, then will motor to Cadillac Mountain for viewing. The bus will leave at 7 a.m. from Exit 80 in Lewiston  and will return at 7 p.m. If interested, call Addie at 353-2760.

Parenting class

LEWISTON — Advocates for Children will offer “Kids First: Parenting Through Separation and Divorce,” a four-hour program for parents who are in the process of separation or divorce, who wish to lessen the negative impact experience by their children.

The class will be offered from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Sept. 11, Oct. 9 or Nov. 13. To register, call 783-3990. The cost is $60 and limited scholarships are available. For more information, call Advocates for Children at 783-3990 or e-mail info@advocatesforchildren.net.

Chorus rehearsals

WINTHROP — The CODA Chorus invites all area singers to join them on Tuesday, Sept. 7, as they begin rehearsals in preparation for the annual Christmas concerts. Musical director Ed Larson and accompanist Bridget Convey will lead rehearsals from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, at the Winthrop United Methodist Church.

CODA is open to everyone, high school age and older. No auditions are required. Those attending should arrive at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 7 to pick up music before rehearsal. Dues for the fall season are $25. For more information, call 622-9659.

Society meeting

LISBON FALLS — Members of the Lisbon Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at the historical society archive museum at the MTM Center, 18 School St., Rooms 5 and 6.
