BRUNSWICK — The Coastal Youth Orchestra will hold auditions for students who would like to join the ensemble this season. CYO is accepting string students of all levels and is also looking for advanced wind, brass and percussion students for its chamber orchestra.

CYO is made up of three ensembles; the Fiddleheads, the Coastal String Ensemble and the Coastal Chamber Orchestra. Nancy Roderick of Brunswick conducts the Fiddleheads, a beginning string orchestra, and the Coastal String Ensemble, an intermediate string orchestra. The Coastal Chamber Orchestra, CYO’s most advanced group including winds, brass and percussion students, is directed by Karla Kelley.

Formed in 2002, the orchestra performs a winter and spring concert each season and students participate in outreach concerts and student recitals.
