DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Historical Society hosted the annual Al Larsen River Valley Festival of Flowers again this year. The winners in the various categories are as follows:
Best of Show and People’s Choice Award: Cindy Manzer, Peru.
Cut Flowers: Cindy Manzer, Peru, first place; Denise Richard, Dixfield, second place; Donna Towle, Dixfield, third place.
Wild Flowers: Sally Carey, Rumford, first place; Becky Collins, Dixfield, second place.
Miniature: Charlotte Collins, Dixfield, first place; Sally Carey, Rumford, second place; Sally Carey, Rumford, third place.
Single Flower or Stem: Sally Carey, Rumford, first place; Tom Carey, Rumford, second place; Donna Towle, Dixfield, third place.
House Plant: Tom Carey, Rumford, first place; Sally Carey, Rumford, second place; Dexter Frost, Dixfield, third place.
The flower show is held each year at the Dixfield Open Market Day in August. Everyone is invited to enter.
