LISBON — Members of the Jordan family gathered on July 28 to place Forrest Jordan Sr.’s paternal great-great-grandfather’s Revolutionary War stone at Davis Cemetery.

Abner Jordan Sr.’s stone was placed by Forrest Sr.’s sons with other family members. Also witnessing the event of Abner finally receiving his long awaited and well-deserved honor were Lisbon Historical Society officers Bill Barr, treasurer; Alfred Smith, president; and Dorothy Smith, secretary and archivist, and News 8 WMTW.

Copies of Abner Jordan Sr.’s military records have been supplied to Lisbon Historical Society and they state that he served in the Revolutionary War as a private in the company commanded by Captain John Mills in the regiment commanded by Colonel Henry Jackson in the line of the State of Massachusetts on the Continental Establishment.
