Coach: Phil Prideaux (first year)

Last year’s record: 4-5

Returning players: Junior — Josh Bagdon (TE/DE).

Key losses: Taylor Valente (FB/LB), Heath Martell (QB), Kokou Noulilo (T/LB), Zeth Horr (G/LB), Nate Parker (T/DE), Ben Grannell (G/DT), Nathan Rowe (WR/CB), Ryan Blenk (RB/S), Tyler Snowe (G/LB), Drew Densmore (TE/LB).

Promising newcomers: Juniors — Colby Bowen (FB/MLB), Roman Latno (QB), Jon Greenleaf (TB/S)..

Outlook: Prideaux, a long-time assistant at Oak Hill and the Patriots’ defensive coordinator last year, inherits a major rebuilding program. The Patriots were gutted by graduation after one of the most successful seasons in the program’s brief history. Bagdon is the only returning starter, and at 6-foot-4 is a big target. Latno has limited experience at quarterback. Unlike last year, when Valente got the vast majority of the carries, the backfield of Greenleaf and Bowen will likely split the workload behind a completely rebuilt offensive line.

Coach’s comment: “We are, to say the least, building up this year. We’re very young and we have to prove ourselves.” — Coach Phil Prideaux
