JR’s Used Cars, 654 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington, is now J&M Motors. J.R. Searles, right, opened JR’s Used Cars in 2000. He sold the business to Mike DiStefano, left, in July. DiStefano is a 1989 graduate of Mt. Blue High School and attended college in Maine from 1989 to 1991. He was chief operating officer at the family-owned Strong Wood Products until 2003 when the mill closed. He has worked independently for the past seven years as a contractor. Searles will stay on at the used car dealership. In addition to the sales department, J&M Motors also offers a full service department.
