NORWAY — The Norway Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor a kindergarten soccer program and an after school bowling program.

Kindergarten soccer will meet from 8 to 8:45 a.m. Saturdays, Sept. 11, 18, 25 and Oct. 2, behind the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School next to the tennis courts. The registration fee is $25; participants will receive a T-shirt and soccer ball.

Nonresidents are also welcome to sign up. Parents are required to stay at the program with their child.

The bowling program will start Thursday, Oct. 7, for eight weeks. The registration fee is $10 and must be paid at the time of registration. There will be a weekly fee of $5 to be paid at Hobbs Lucky Lanes each week a child participates. The fees include shoe rental and all the strings bowled in the allotted time. Children may bring a snack or make purchases at the bowling center.

Bowlers in grades two through eight may register as a team of four or individually. Students will be picked up by bus at the Guy E. Rowe School and transported to Hobbs Lucky Lanes. Parents should pick their children up at the bowling center by 4:30 p.m.

Students in kindergarten and grade one may participate if accompanied by an adult. Students who do not attend Guy E. Rowe school may also participate, but must provide their own transportation.

Registration forms for both programs are available at the Norway Town Office and www.norwaymaine.com. For more information, call Norway Recreation Director Deb Partridge at 743-6651.
