HEBRON — The Hebron Academy Middle School is celebrating its 20th year of serving area students in grades six, seven and eight.
“The middle school has grown and changed with new facilities, new field trip opportunities and more, but what has stayed the same is what makes the school truly special: the dedicated teachers and the small classroom experience,” said Head of School John King.
To celebrate the its 20th year, the middle school will host special events over the coming months, including class reunions and a cross-curricular study unit based on the number 20.
Hebron Athletic Director and founding middle school Director Leslie Guenther and middle school teaching veterans Kathy Gerrits-Leyden, Mary Anderson, Cynthia Reedy and Steve Middleton are spearheading the 20th Anniversary Project. They are joined by fellow Hebron faculty members Louise Roy ’04, Austin Stonebraker ’97 and Kevin DeSorbo ’03, all graduates of both the Hebron Middle School and Upper School, who have returned to teach at the academy.
Opening school ceremonies will take place on Thursday, Sept. 9, with orientation activities celebrating the school anniversary. For more information on the Hebron Academy Middle School, contact the Office of Admission at 966-5225.
