The West Minot Grange recently purchased 14 new vinyl fence sections for just over $500. A verbal agreement was made with Minot’s Town Manager, Arlan Saunders, to utilize the town highway crew to install the fencing at the West Minot Riverside Cemetery when man hours are available. The town spent about $400 on matching posts, glue and hardware. The Grange submitted a fact sheet to the Maine State Grange with information about the purchases, along with a photo of Saunders with the new fence sections stored at the town maintenance facility. The Maine State Grange Community Service Annual Fund sent the Grange a check for $250 to put towards their expenses. Members of the Minot Highway Department, from left, foreman Scott Parker and Ryan Bruno, are pictured installing one of the fence posts.
