Coach:  Chris Aube (fourth year)

Last year’s record: 12-7, lost in Western B quarterfinal.

Returning letter winners: Seniors — Megan Dehetre (5-8 guard), Alicia Valente (5-7 guard), Rachel Edson (5-5 guard), Leandra Grant (6-0 center); Junior — Maggie Chaplin (5-7 forward).

Promising newcomers: Sophomores — Haylee Cote (guard), Sammie Wilkins (guard), Michelle Dehetre (guard), Alex Mitchell (forward), Julie Martel (guard); Freshmen – Stephanie Greaton (center), Meaghan Holmquist (center).

Key losses: Morgan Wilson (guard), Kassie Wilson (forward), Laura Getchell (forward), Molly Mooney (forward), Alena Grant (center).

Outlook:

The Patriots graduated must of their post game and bench but still return four-year veterans in Dehetre and Valente and Edson, who started last year at the point. Cote and Chaplin  step into the starting lineup and give GNG a balanced lineup. Grant and Wilkins will contribute off the bench while newcomers like Martell and Greaton should move into roles as well.

Coach’s comment:

“Although we graduated several key contributors from our program, I am very excited and optimistic about the potential of this year’s group. We have three great leaders returning in our seniors. Our inexperienced players are playing with tons of confidence. We will have the ability to put five players on the floor who can can up and down the floor and score in a variety of ways. We will be challenged on the defensive end of the floor with our lack of size. How well we can control tempo and defensive rebounds will be keys to our success.”” Coach Chris Aube.
