BATH — December’s theme at the Dreamland Theater is American classics, with the movie musical “Meet Me in St. Louis” showing on Thursday, Dec. 23, at the Winter Street Center.

It is St. Louis, 1903. The affluent Smith family has four beautiful daughters, including 17-year-old Esther, played by Judy Garland, and little Tootie, played by Margaret O’Brien. Esther has fallen in love with John, the boy next-door, who at first hardly notices her. The family is shocked when Mr. Smith reveals that he has been transferred to a new position in New York. The all-star cast includes Mary Astor, Leon Ames, Marjorie Main and June Lockhart.

Dreamland is a film series presented on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from September through May, with showings starting at 7 p.m., preceded by shorts, serials or cartoons at 6 p.m. Suggested donation is $5.

Feel free to bring a box supper. Soft drinks, popcorn and candies are available at $1 each.
