LEWISTON — Lewiston Youth Advisory Council (LYAC) Vice Chairwoman Kenzi Masselli and Lewiston Public Works employees Leo Lemay, Scott Bates and Ricky Dubuc beat inclement winter weather on Dec. 16 by planting a five-sided raised flower bed in front of the Lewiston Memorial Armory, 65 Central Ave.
The planting had been a city beautification goal of the LYAC since June, and plans came together on Dec. 16.
Mayor Laurent F. Gilbert Sr., who viewed the flower bed shortly after it was completed, noted, “It’s really nice to see that young people like Kenzi take pride in how their community is represented. It’s also great to see Public Works employees supporting Lewiston’s youth.”
