LEWISTON — Estelle Paré Ruel, 91, of Lewiston, passed away Friday, Dec. 31, at d’Youville Pavilion.

She was born March 6, 1919, in Lewiston, a daughter of the late Henri and Josephine (Robert) Brule.

Estelle married Robert Paré Sr. on Oct. 9, 1935, and they had four children together. Robert passed away on Aug. 4, 1975. In 1977, Estelle married William Ruel, and William passed away in 1989 after 12 years of marriage together.

Estelle was a longtime resident of Great Falls Plaza, where she enjoyed playing Beano with the girls. She enjoyed Sunday car rides, eating at Cole Farms and playing cards with her family. Estelle enjoyed celebrating the 4th of July with her family and was a lifelong avid New York Yankees fan.

She is survived by her son, Robert T. Paré Jr., and his wife Eileen, of Tallahassee, Fla.; her daughter, Suzanne Bechard, and husband Armand, of Lewiston; and her longtime companion, Robert LaCroix of Auburn.

Estelle will be greatly missed by her nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Besides Robert and William, she is predeceased by her sons, Raymond Paré and Richard Paré; her brother, Robert Brule; and her sister, Reina Corriveau.
