FARMINGTON — Erna Marie Fournier, 83, of Livermore Falls, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, at the Franklin Memorial Hospital.

She was born on Nov. 26, 1927, in Mannheim, Germany, a daughter of Herman and Marie Loeb. She attended school in Germany and moved to the United States after marrying Robert Fournier.

Mrs. Fournier worked as a homemaker to her husband and children until his death in the mid 1970s. She then went to work for G.H. Bass in Wilton.

She was a longtime communicant of St. Rose of Lima in Jay and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Her family and friends will undoubtedly miss the fruits of her labor in the kitchen as she was a wonderful cook over the years.

She is survived by her children, Gerhard “Gerry” Fournier and his wife, Christine, of Livermore and Gilbert “Jill” Berry and her husband, Nate, of Vero Beach, Fla.; a sister, Elfriede Loeb of Mannheim, Germany; grandchildren, Erika Frank of Raymond, Becky Gagnon of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Christopher Knox of Lewiston; two great-grandchildren (and one on the way), Victoria Frank and Xavier Knox.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; and a brother, Karl Loeb.

Words of condolence and tribute may be shared with her family and friends at www.wilesrc.com.
