AUBURN — Lucille M. Desjardins, 81, a resident of Sanders Road, Livermore, passed away Saturday, Jan. 8, at Hospice House of Androscoggin.

She was born on Nov. 21, 1929, in Lynn, Mass., the daughter of Albert and Yvonne Lebrasseur Poulin. Lucille was a 1948 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. On Oct. 30, 1948, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, she married Clement Desjardins, her husband of 62 years.

Lucille was a devoted and loving wife and homemaker. She was happiest surrounded by her family, and cooked wonderful meals for everyone during the holidays. She also enjoyed playing cards and bingo with friends and sewing. Her love for her family will live on through the beautiful cross-stitching and quilts she left behind.

Lucille was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church. She was a member of The Daughters of Isabella and a charter member of the Frank L. Mitchell VFW Post 3335 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Clement Desjardins of Livermore; six children, Leona and her husband Rick Dugas of Brunswick; Dennis and Sylvia of Turner; Peter and Ann of Lafayette, Ind., Jeanne and Mike Hammell of Lake in the Hills, Ill., Paula and Phil Swan of Westbrook; and Jon and Karen of Hebron, Conn., 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Folkes and her husband William of Texas and Irene Fournier of Jay.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Ernest and Raymond Poulin; and sisters, Elaine Sturtevant and Violet Frechette.
