LEWISTON — The Trinity Jubilee Center in downtown Lewiston has wrapped up the annual Holiday Gift-Giving Program.

Every year many children receive new toys, clothes, and mittens through the program. This year was the biggest yet, with 93 children from 59 families receiving gifts.

The program, organized by AmeriCorps member Erin Reed and Development Director Dell Gray, took in wish lists and connected them with donors.

Dozens of volunteers, from Bates College, the Tranquil Lodge Fund Program, Prince of Peace Parish and Kaplan University bought gifts ranging from Legos and Barbies to new sweatshirts and long underwear.

Additional support came from the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center and the Downtown Education Collaborative.
