ANSON — Arline L. Dewar, 76, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, at her home in Anson surrounded by family and friends. She was formerly a resident of Roxbury Road in Mexico.

She was born in East Andover, Aug. 29, 1934, a daughter of the late Isaac and Anna (May) White. She attended schools in Andover and Rumford. She worked for Stowell McGregor Dowell Mill in Dixfield until they closed.

She enjoyed camping, cooking, sewing and riding her lawn tractor. She loved her puppies Casper, Molly and Scooter.

She was married in Rumford, June 27, 1970 to the late John E. “Buddy” Dewar, who died in Mexico, Sept. 28, 2004.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Haley and her husband, John, of Anson; sons, Joseph LeBlanc and his wife, Donna, of Peru, Michael LeBlanc of Sarasota, Fla., Kevin LeBlanc and his wife, Beth, of St. Louis, Mo., and John Dewar of Lewiston; brothers, Claude White of Rumford and Frank White of East Hartford, Conn.; sisters, Emma Giroux of Rumford, Alice Gagne of East Hartford, Evelyn Leclerc of Rumford, Juliette Salatino and her husband, Rocky, Grace Jamison of Rumford and Roberta Touchette of Mexico; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her extended family of campers.

She was predeceased by five brothers; and a grandson, Kevin LeBlanc Jr.
