HARRISON — The Harrison Recreation Department has announced winter activities and events.

Coed adult basketball: 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays, Harrison School gym, sneakers required, follows school calendar, age 18+.

Coed adult volleyball: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, Harrison School gym, follows school calendar, age 18+.

Coed teen basketball: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Harrison School gym, sneakers required, follows school calendar, grades seven to 11.

Cross country ski program: Harrison Elementary School fourth and fifth graders, 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. Tuesdays, Crystal Lake Park, Jan. 18, 25 and Feb. 1, 8, 15, skis, boots and poles provided or bring own, cost $5, hot cocoa.

Super Bowl Skate Fest: 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, Bridgton Academy ice rink, free for all Harrison residents, hot dogs, chili, brownies, hot cocoa/Gatorade. Helmets required age 8 and under.

Snow tubing: Oxford Plains Snow Tubing Park, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21. Cost is $16, bus leave town office parking lot at 9:15 a.m. Release waivers can be picked up at town office

Winter Fest/Family Ice Fishing Derby: Friday (Children’s Handicapped Derby), Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 25, 26 and 27. Theme is “Hooked on Fishing Not on Drugs,” with prizes and raffles. Brochure will be available with details.
