MEXICO — Two drivers escaped injury Thursday afternoon when their vehicles collided head-on on Route 2 near the VIP store.
Sgt. Roy Hodsdon said Timothy Pulk, 49, of Carthage, drove his Subaru out of the VIP parking lot and attempted to make a left turn. His vehicle hit another driven by Brian Henry, 52, of Weld Street, Dixfield, that was traveling west on Route 2 and was in the left-turn lane. The two vehicles hit head-on.
Neither man was hurt. However, Pulk’s 2007 Subaru, valued at $12,000, was destroyed. Henry’s 1996 GMC sport utility vehicle sustained $3,500 damage.
Med-Care Ambulance Services responded but was not needed. Members of the Mexico Fire Department cleaned up debris and fluids. The scene was cleared around 4:15 p.m. from the 2:50 p.m. accident.
