FARMINGTON — Franklin Community Health Network announces that Heather Davis, Healthy Community Coalition executive director, has been accepted into the Maine Association of Non-Profit’s 2011 Nonprofit Leadership Institute.
The Nonprofit Leadership Institute was created for executive directors who work in economically depressed areas and fosters the development of essential skills nonprofit leaders need to capture creative opportunities to effectively meet their missions.
Davis was one of 20 applicants selected for the eight-month program that is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and provided free of charge to participants.
The mission of the HCC is to measurably improve the health and well-being of all people in Franklin County and neighboring towns using a coordinated approach of education, promotion and outreach.
HCC is an affiliate of Franklin Community Health Network.
