AUBURN — President Scott Knapp of Central Maine Community College has announced the appointment of Betsy H. Libby as dean of student services.

Libby, who began her service at CMCC as director of admissions in December, 2006, is a native of Castine and a graduate of George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill. She completed her baccalaureate degree in journalism at the University of Maine in Orono, and a master’s degree in public relations at Ball State University in Indiana, where she also worked in admissions as a graduate assistant.

Prior to coming to CMCC, Libby served as assistant director of admissions at the State University of New York in Canton, N.Y.

She lives in New Gloucester with her husband and children.
