When the GOP worked a deal with the Obama administration on tax cuts in December, the Making Work Pay tax cut was not extended for 2011. So why didn’t the Sun Journal headline read: GOP increases taxes on the nation’s poorest workers?

The Making Work Pay tax break gave a tax cut to workers making less than $35,000 per year. Given a tax break, that group spends the money.

Tax cuts for those with taxable incomes above $250,000 (you have to make millions to have a taxable income of $250,000), doesn’t help the economy because those people put their tax cuts into their trust funds, send the money to the Caymans or to their numbered Swiss bank accounts.
