AUBURN — Austin Associates, PA, CPAs announces that Matthew Bennett has joined the firm, providing audit, tax and accounting services.
He received his bachelor of science degree in accounting along with a bachelor of arts degree in history and a minor in finance from Hartwick College in New York and plans to become a CPA. Prior to joining Austin Associates, Bennett worked for Ernst & Young LLP for two years.
On Jan. 4, Bennett participated in The Chamber Career Fair, discussing what “life is like as an accountant” with high school sophomores from all over Androscoggin County. After experiencing a summer internship at Austin Associates while attending Hartwick College, he said he fully appreciates the importance of the business community working with local schools to ensure students recognize and are afforded opportunities to learn beyond the classroom.
Bennett grew up in the Lewiston-Auburn area and graduated from Edward Little High School. He lives in Auburn.
