NORWAY — The Maine Winter Sports Center Healthy Hometowns’ ski trailer at Roberts Farm Preserve allows kids and adults to try Nordic skiing.
Due to Wednesday’s snowstorm and the ski trailer filled with cross country skis, poles and boots, area fifth-graders were able to try out Nordic skiing and explore the groomed trails on the preserve.
Seven from Paris Elementary School went to ski on Jan. 13 and Oxford Elementary School sent over 22 students on Jan. 14.
The Western Foothills Land Trust constructed the trails on the preserve and arranged for volunteers and the ski trailer. Maps of the trails available on site and online at www.wfltmaine.org.
