LEWISTON — Gary Yackley CP, BOCO, has completed the Orthomerica accredited course on infant cranial remolding. He is now certified to treat patients for a variety of infant cranial deformities by employing custom head reshaping orthosis that encourages a more symmetrical shape for a baby’s head.

Yackley is a graduate of Sinclair College in Dayton, Ohio. He attended the University of Minnesota and completed his residency at Laforsch Laboratory in Dayton.

Yackley has been with New England Brace and Prosthetics Company in Lewiston for 20 years. His duties include the evaluation and treatment of orthotic patients for external body bracing for weakness and instabilities, and prosthetic patients for replacement of upper and lower limbs with state-of-the-art prosthetic limbs, including microprocessor-controlled electronic prosthesis.

He is certified by the American Board for Certification in Prosthetics, Orthotics and Pedorthics and the Board of Certification/Accreditation International. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, the Prosthetic and Orthotic Society of Maine, and past president of the Maine Orthotic and Prosthetic Association.
