FARMINGTON — Lois P. Adams, 90, of Farmington, died Sunday, Jan. 23, at the Franklin Memorial Hospital.

She was born on Nov. 13, 1920, in North Anson, a daughter of John and Ethel Mae (Walker) Peters. She attended and graduated from local schools.

In 1939, Lois married Woodrow Adams in Starks. He died on Jan. 5, 1994.

She worked at Farmington Shoe for many years until the time of its closing.

Lois’ greatest pleasure in life was time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Woodrow Adams and his fiance, Nancy Thebeau, of Farmington, Harold Adams and his wife, Barbara, of Lexington, S.C., and Betty Bernard and her husband, Bill, of Farmington; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Woodrow; a son, Gary Adams in 1974; an infant daughter in 1943; a son-in-law, Ray Blodgett in 1983; and several brothers and sisters.
