Incident Report Statistics:

Between 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9,  and 12 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, patrol officers responded to 133 complaints.

Arrests/Summonses:

On Jan. 11 – 7:30 a.m., Richard Frappier, 47, of Newport was charged by Cpl. Lawrence Winson on Route 2 with illegal possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Frappier is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on March 8.

On  Jan. 13, David Cherkis, 42, of Greenwood was charged by Capt. Daniel Garbarini in conjunction with MDEA with aggravated drug trafficking. Cherkis was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

On  Jan. 13, Christopher Leclair, 32, of Bethel was charged by Capt. Daniel Garbarini in conjunction with MDEA with aggravated drug trafficking. Leclair was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

On  Jan. 13 – 8:04 p.m., Shane Hatfield, 21, of Rumford was charged by acting Cpl. Donald Miller on Hancock Street on a warrant for failure to pay fines for a burglary. Hatfield posted $95 cash bail and was released.

On  Jan. 13 – 8:24 p.m., Michael Gould, 20, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Joseph Sage on Cumberland Street on a warrant for failure to pay fines for a cultivating marijuana. Gould was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

On  Jan. 14 – 9:10 p.m., Lona Judd, 32, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Bradlee Gallant with operating after suspension on Lincoln Avenue. Judd is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on April 5.

On  Jan. 15 – 12:16 a.m., Joshua Hines, 19, of Peru was charged by Ptl. Bradlee Gallant with illegal transportation of alcohol by a minor on Prospect Avenue. Hines is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on April 5.

On  Jan. 16– 10:53 p.m., a 17-year-old male juvenile was charged by Ptl. Bradlee Gallant with illegal attachment of plates on Waldo Street. Juvenile is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on April 5.

On  Jan. 17 – 5:05 a.m., Nikki Libby, 32, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Bradlee Gallant with operating after suspension on Lincoln Avenue. Libby is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on April 5.

On  Jan. 17 – 8:20 p.m., Melissa Buckner, 28, of Rumford was charged by Act. Cpl. Donald Miller on Hancock Street on a warrant for failure to pay fines for a unlawful possession of a scheduled drug. Buckner posted $720 cash bail and was released.

On  Jan. 17 – 9:20 p.m., Sarah Roberts, 32, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Joseph Sage on Maine Avenue on a warrant for failure to pay fines for an operating under the influence. Roberts was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

On  Jan. 18 – 10:46 a.m., David Giberson, 46, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Bradlee Gallant with operating after suspension on Lincoln Avenue. Giberson is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on April 5.

On  Jan. 19 – 12:42 p.m., Jeffrey Hanson, 52, of Dixfield was charged by Sgt. James Bernard with operating after suspension on Route 108. Hanson is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on March 8.

On  Jan. 19 – 11 p.m., Zachary Giberson, 20, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Bradlee Gallant with operating a motor vehicle without a license on Lincoln Avenue. Giberson is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on April 5.

On  Jan. 20 – 2:56 p.m., Thomas Taylor, 49, of Rumford was charged by Cpl. Lawrence Winson with violating bail on Waldo Street. Taylor is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on April 5.

On  Jan. 20 – 5:32 p.m., Catherine Lynn, 43, of Rumford was charged by Sgt. James Bernard with criminal threatening. Lynn was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on March 8.

Assault:

On  Jan. 17 – 11:08 p.m., Ptl. Sage investigated an incident of a possible assault on Franklin Street. No crime took place.

Crash:

On  Jan. 22 – 7:42 p.m., Ptl. Sage investigated a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian. A white pickup truck struck Robert McKinnon, 32, of Rumford while walking near the intersection of Rumford Avenue and Washington Street. The pickup sustained damage to the front right headlight area. Anyone with information is asked to call Ptl. Sage.

Wanted

Nicholas Scaliatine, 25, of Rumford is wanted on a Androscoggin warrant for failure to pay fines on an operating after suspension.
