A police officer crouches behind a snowbank after police were called to a reported home invasion at 402 Court St. in Auburn on Sunday morning, according to Auburn police Lt. Anthony Harrington Jr. Officers from Auburn, with assistance from the Lewiston Police Department, responded and established a perimeter, but found that the report was made by a man suffering from ongoing mental health issues. Harrington said there was no home invasion and no weapons were involved. Police cleared the scene about noon after the man was taken to an area hospital for crisis evaluation. No charges were filed.
