LEWISTON — The Senior College “Food for Thought” luncheon series at USM/Lewiston-Auburn College on Friday, Feb. 11, will feature a presentation by Don Robitaille.

In his program, “Crossing the Country by Bicycle,” he will describe his two trips across the country, one from Bar Harbor to Seattle in 2001 and the other from Florida to Texas in 2010.

Robitaille, a well-known Lewiston resident, retired in 1990 and has logged more than 100,000 miles on his 20-year-old bicycle, which he will bring to the luncheon. He regularly bikes and walks every day, weather permitting, and cross country skis during the winter.

Senior College, now in its 12th year, presents the monthly luncheon program at 11:30 a.m. in the Function Room 170 at USM LAC. The cost, which includes lunch, is $7 with advance reservation or $8 at the door. Reservations must be made by noon on Thursday, Feb. 10, by calling 753-6510. Any late callers will be considered “at the door.”
