RUMFORD — Patrol officers responded to 81 complaints from Jan. 24 to 31. Basic traffic stops are not included.

Arrests/summonses:

Jan. 24, 5:29 p.m. — Ethan White, 19, of Rumford was arrested by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld on Route 232 on a charge of domestic assault. White posted $600 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on March 8.

Jan. 25, 8:15 a.m. — David Moore, 33, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman  Brad Gallant on Cumberland Street on a charge of domestic assault. Moore was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on March 8.

Jan. 25, 8:15 a.m. — David Moore, 33, of Rumford was arrested by acting Cpl.  Donald Miller on Cumberland Street on a warrant for failure to pay fines on a charge of receiving stolen property. Moore was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

Jan. 26, 1:17 p.m. — Kenneth Snow, 46, of Rumford was summoned by Patrolman Dennis Ryder on Washington Street on a charge of criminal trespass. Snow is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on March 8.

Jan. 27, 3:30 a.m. — Maureen Merrill, 48, of Rumford was arrested by acting  Cpl. Donald Miller on Congress Street on a charge of domestic assault. Merrill was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on March 8.

Jan. 27, 3:30 p.m. — Sharlyna Jones, 22, of Rumford was arrested by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld on Franklin Street on a warrant for failure to pay fines on a charge of operating without a license. Jones posted $80 cash bail and was released.

Jan. 28, 8:22 a.m. — Raymond Martin, 20, of Rumford was arrested by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld on Lincoln Avenue on a warrant for failure to pay fines on a bail violation, assault and disorderly conduct charges. Martin posted $840 cash bail and was released.

Jan. 28, 10:38 a.m. — Nicholas Varnum, 20, of Rumford was arrested by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld on Forrest Avenue on a warrant for violation conditions of release. Varnum was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

Jan. 28, 11:06 a.m. — Brian Hutchinson, 24, of Rumford was arrested by Cpl. Lawrence Winson on Waldo Street on a warrant for failure to pay fines for criminal mischief and assault charges. Hutchinson was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

Jan. 29, 1 a.m. — Dawn Miller, 35, of Mexico was charged by Patrolman Brad Gallant with operating after suspension on Lincoln Avenue. Miller is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on April 5.

Jan. 29, 9:48 p.m. — Danny Korhonen, 43, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Brad Gallant on Hancock Street on charges of assault and refusing to submit to arrest. Korhonen was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on March 8.

Jan. 28, 11:06 a.m. — Greg Gibbons, 24, of Rumford was arrested by acting Cpl. Donald Miller on River Street on a warrant for failure to pay fines for violation bail and drug charges. Gibbons was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

Jan. 30, 4:15 p.m. — Zachary Giberson, 20, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Joseph Sage on charges of burglary and theft for an incident at a Route 2 business. Giberson was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in South Paris Superior Court on March 8.

Jan. 31, 2:47 a.m. — Charles Gannon, 20, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Joseph Sage on charges of burglary and theft for an incident at a Route 2 business. Gannon was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in South Paris Superior Court on March 8.

Jan. 31 – A 17-year-old Rumford juvenile was charged by Patrolman Joseph Sage with burglary (accomplice liability) and theft (accomplice liability) for an incident at a Route 2 business. The juvenile is scheduled to appear in Rumford District on March 8.

Criminal Mischief:

Jan. 30, 10:31 a.m. — Acting Cpl. Donald Miller is investigating a damaged  street sign on Route 120 found on patrol. Loss estimated at $200.

Theft:

Jan. 23, 3:40 p.m. — Patrolman George Cayer investigated the theft of $18 in change from three vehicles belonging to a resident on Urquhart Street.

Jan. 26, 6:33 a.m. — Sgt. Doug Maifeld investigated the theft of $38.02 in gasoline from a Bridge Street business. The suspect was located and returned to pay.

Jan. 28, 8:24 p.m. — Patrolman Lawrence Winson investigated the theft of snowboards at a Glover Road business. Their value is unknown.

Wanted:

Joseph Cox, 25 , of Bryant Pond is wanted on a Oxford County Superior Court warrant for felony theft and forgery. The warrant is dated Jan. 31, 2011.
