TURNER — A surprise party was held recently for Herbert and Christine Hinkley of Turner on the occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary. The event was held at the Calvary Batpist Church in Turner and party hosts were their children, Cathy and Butch Pratt and David and Jodie Hinkley.

Displayed was a Christmas tree decorated with hand decorated commerative ornaments. Toastmaster was Pastor Steve Christner and Alyssa Pratt had charge of the guest book.

Mr. Hinkley and the former Christine Warren were married on Dec. 30, 1950, at the Buckfield Baptist Church in Buckfield. Along with their two children, their grandchildren are William Hinkley, Sheila and Jesse Twitchell, Casey Pratt, Laura and Marcus Rene and Sarah and Jason Emmons. Their great-grandchildren are Ava Twitchell, Alyssa Pratt, Jaden Emmons and Keegan and Landen Rene.

Mrs. Hinkley is one of 14 children and is active at the Calvary Baptist Church. She is an avid knitter and is active in community volunteer activities.

Mr. Hinkley has been owner of H and H Trucking Company for over 40 years. He is a founding member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoys golfing and is an all-around sports enthusiast.

They are the fifth consecutive Hinkley generation to have celebrated a 60th wedding anniversary.

Original wedding attendants present were Walter and Charlotte Warren and Homer Hinkley.
