Skating party

NORWAY — An ice skating party will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, at the ice rink, open to people of all ages. There will be music, a bonfire and a potluck table for cookies, brownies and hot chocolate. The ice hut will be open for those who need to borrow ice skates.

Those who have ice skates at home that are no longer needed could donate them. Parks and Recreation has skates ranging form the small double runners to men’s size 12.

Music in worship

PARIS — “Music in Worship” will be the focus of the 10 a.m. service Sunday, Feb. 20, at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris. The group will include Renee Wales, flute, and Jeanne Whittemore, Berdina Whittemore and Terry Twitchell, vocal soloists, in addition to the choir.

Forest Perkins will be organist and Wales will lead Sunday school. The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. Everyone is invited.

Games for kids

NORWAY — The Norway Memorial Library will host a drop-in program from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, for children ages 6 to 12, their parents and friends. A selection of board and card games will be provided.

The event is free, and no registration is necessary. Children are welcome to drop in and play games during that time. Available games include Monopoly Junior, Scrabble Junior, Uno, Picktureka and Clue Junior.

If a child has a favorite game, they may bring it to share. For more information on children’s programs, contact the Norway Memorial Library at 743-5309, ext. 4.

OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Feb. 11 in the Recreation Building.

Finishing first in flight A were Priscilla Rooth and Hazel Glazier, who also were first in flight B; second, Pete Cummings and Dick Allen; third, Marta Clements and Les Buzzell; fourth, Carol Curran and Barbara Vanderzanden, who also were second in flight B.

Finishing third in flight B were Jim Krainin and Milt McKeen; fourth, Hank Sakrison and Denny Raymond.
