MEXICO — Thomas P. Theriault, 61, died Monday, Feb. 14, at his residence on Roxbury Road.

He was born in Rumford, Sept. 15, 1949, a son of Philip and Theresa (LeBlanc) Theriault. He was a graduate of Stephens High School, Class of 1967, and was also a graduate of Maine Maritime Academy. He was a third engineer with the Merchant Marines.

Thomas was a member of Rumford Falls Aerie 1248, FOE, BPOE 862, Elks, Napoleon Ouellette Post 24, American Legion and Le Paresseux Snowshoe Club. He was a communicant of St. Athanasius-St. John Church and an avid sports fan.

He was married in Rangeley on Sept. 16, 1995 to Ellie F. McCann, who survives of Mexico. Other survivors include his mother, Theresa Theriault of Rumford; a stepson, Dan McCann of Gray; granddaughter, Tasia McCann of Gray; sisters, Sandra Drapeau and her husband, Jim, of Mexico and Kathy Brooks and her husband, Randy, of Peru; brothers, Tim Theriault of Boston and Peter Theriault of Alna; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Philip Theriault.
