ROCKLAND (AP) — Coast Guard crews were assisting a fishing boat that was reported disabled 40 miles east of Rockland.

Coast Guard officials said they received a call Saturday night from the 80-foot fishing vessel, Meridian, that the boat’s generator had broken down. The boat is based out of New Bedford, Mass.

The Coast Guard dispatched a 110-foot cutter to the boat, and has also sent a 230-foot cutter out of Boston to assist. No injuries have been reported.

According to the National Weather Service, northwest winds of 25 to 35 knots and seas of 7 to 14 feet are making for rough ocean conditions.
