Sermon topic

PARIS — “Trustworthy Stewards” will be Silver Moore-Leamon’s sermon topic on Sunday, Feb. 27, at the 10 a.m. service of the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris. Forest Perkins will direct the music and Renee Wales will lead the Sunday school. The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. All are invited.

Farm Fair

NORWAY — A Farm Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 26 and 27, at Fare Share Commons, 443 Main St.

Community Supported Agriculture purchases will be available. Those who buy one or more shares from a farmer or producer will receive discounts at neighborhood businesses through March. A locally based family charitable foundation will buy several CSA shares for families who have less than they need and residents can do that too.

Cathi Dicocco, owner of Café DiCocoa and DiCocoa’s Marketplace in Bethel, will talk about local products at 11 a.m. Saturday. Local lunches will be available both days.

Lot management

PARIS — A six-week course in Beginning Woodlot Management will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, South Paris.

Sponsored by the Maine Forest Service, the course for woodlot owners will feature such topics as tree identification, wildlife management, deeds and boundaries, timber harvesting, forestry taxes and regulations and working with a consulting forester. There is a $20 charge, which covers all materials.
