MINOT — Traffic on was reduced to one lane for an hour after a crash on Minot Avenue near the Minot Country Store at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
No one was injured, police said.
A 2003 Hyundai Sonata driven by Beverly Mottran, 72, of Mechanic Falls hit the back of a 1998 Buick LeSabre operated by Nicki Karcher, 24, of Auburn, Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Brian Smith said. Both were headed in the same direction, he said.
Karcher’s two young children were with her in the car and were not hurt, he said.
Police were still investigating the cause of the crash Tuesday afternoon.
Traffic was slowed to one lane while both cars were removed, Smith said.
“Being the height of people getting out of work, that just made it worse,” he said.
